Okey so here are pictures from two entirely different events. Firstly our Kawaii chakai, which was to celebrate my 4 years of studying chado and Eerikas one year.( 4+1=5 ) So we decided to host a small chakai for our friends where the guests should wear something cute and our dogu would be cute as well.

And then a few weeks ago we had intensive summer training so it meant we had a chance to wear our ro kimono but it didn't stop us from sweating(the weather was like + 30 degrees celsius)

Here's another photo of me and Jenny in our Kawaii Chakai outfits:
We both wore princess patterned obis. Jenny's outfit was accented with purple and mine with yellow so we wouldn't be awfully matchy-matchy even though we were both in pink. You can't really see it in the photos, but my collar had a yellow sakura blossom pattern on it (I love me my quilting cotton collars).
Thank you for all the compliments on the Neko Jiku. I'll see about getting it scanned so there's a better picture of it. I've never done sumi-e before and the end result was more watercolour-like (I've painted plenty with watercolours) than intended. The bunting you see hanging behind us (and another length of it can be just seen draped on the folding screen in the photo of the mizusashi) was made by me, as one of our themes for the event -asides from everything being pretty and cute- was handmade/arts & crafts.
Edited to add: Synthetic ro kimonos are really, really hot! The amount of sweating done that weekend was vaguely obscene, and never has it felt so very nice to take off a kimono!
