Round and flat obijime, how do you store them?

Hey all!
I've been reorganisin my obijimes a bit and can't find a way to store my round obijime properly without them being tangled etc
Most ideal is to see every single obijime just like the flat ones which can be stored easily ^^

This is how I used to have it:

Pretty disorganised right?

This is how I have it now:

Bit better but still hmm.. not perfect

How do you store your obijime and especially your round obijime ?

I would just suggest to fold the round obijime as you would a flat one, and, very carefully, place them neatly in a drawer (or whatever you use to store obijime). As long as you treat them with decent care, I don't understand how they could become tangled. :]

You know what I've used in the past? Clear rubber bands. They keep everything nice and neat! :)

I have a few narrow ribbons, the kind you get by the spool and cut. Seal the ends from unravelling with a quick run through a lighter, just close enough to melt the edges but not burn them. Let them cool off.

Then I have the obijime folded and sorted according to type, and I tie each bundle with a ribbon. This way, if they fall out of the cabinet I keep them stacked in (literally running out of room for kimono stuff...), no big deal.

Well since I have three obijime only at the moment, I keep them just folded in half in my closet together with other kimono stuff. And I have flat ones only now! But in the future I'd like to get more!!! Few round ones for my furisode and other flat ones in colors like baby blue or light turquoise, candy pink, lavander, orange, yellow and so on! :coy:
Bytheway you have an impressing collection of obijime! :frazzled

I had some fabric scraps laying around so I took small strands (around 10cm) and tied a obijime with it :)

This one has a pretty interesting way how to tie them so the loose strands stay neat. (sorry for the link to the listing, but somehow I can't copy the photo itself)

I gave up on trying to keep them folded; I've got them hanging on a tie hanger in my closet instead. It works great! :sword:
