This book is in two sections. The "public face" - information about geisha and the "private face", containing "shunga" prints (erotic Japanese prints). If you have read "Geisha" by Liza Dalby, you will immediately recognize a lot of the information. There is no new information of importance at all in this book.
As for the shunga prints, I highly doubt that these prints are of "geisha", but rather they are of courtesans from the pleasure quarters. Due to this misrepresentation, I feel that this book adds greatly to the general misconception of geishas. If you find you wish to read this book, regardless, just bare in mind that it definitely is not for the prudish!
